Iranian short film ‘The Fog’ has been selected to compete at the Delhi International Festival of Film & TV (DIFFT) in India.
Co-directed by Ali Shourvarzi and Hossein Mahrouqi, the short narrates the story of a female corpse-washer who has lost her child. She hasn’t been able to wash the corpse of any child from the day her child died. After a while, she is compelled to wash the corpse of a kid, but she makes a different choice.
Niloufar Khosh-Kholgh, Siamak Adib and Qorban Najafi are some of the cast members of the film.
DIFFT intends to “showcase the best of independent film and television from across the world alongside a program of educational, pioneering and engaging workshops, panels and round tables run by leading industry practitioners”.
The fest is slated for December 7-10, 2019.
